Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Optional: 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • Optional: 1 lb cooked fettuccine
  • Suggested Sides: Garlic bread salad

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Add garlic; cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add cream; simmer 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  • Reduce heat; whisk in Parmesan until smooth.
  • Season with salt, pepper, optional nutmeg. Toss with pasta or serve. Garnish with optional parsley.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for smoothness.
  • Keep heat low to avoid clumping.
  • Store in fridge; reheat gently.
  • Serve with broccoli or garlic bread.
