Apple Dumplings Recipe: Warm and Caramelized

Apple Dumplings with a warm, caramelized taste.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 apples
  • 1 tube of crescent dough
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¾ cup soda
  • Optional: Ice cream
  • Suggested Pairings: Cider milk

Instructions
 

  • Peel, core, and cut apples into 8 wedges.
  • Wrap each in a crescent triangle.
  • Place in a greased 8x8 dish.
  • Melt butter, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  • Pour sauce over dumplings.
  • Add soda around the edges.
  • Bake at 350°F 35–40 min.
  • Rest 10 min.
  • Serve in a white ceramic dish.

Notes

  • Baste halfway.
  • Store in fridge 3 days or freeze 2 months.
  • Try a pear or a mini variation.
  • Pair with caramel.
