Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves packed
  • cup pine nuts
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves peeled
  • ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice optional
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: Fresh basil leaf extra Parmesan
  • Suggested Pairings: Sparkling water pasta

Instructions
 

  • Toast pine nuts (optional) for 2–3 min; cool.
  • Blend basil, pine nuts, Parmesan, and garlic; drizzle in olive oil.
  • Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper; taste and adjust.
  • Transfer to a white ceramic bowl; garnish with basil.
  • Serve immediately.

  • Store in the fridge for 1 week or freeze for 3 months.
