- 2 cups fresh basil leaves packed
- ⅓ cup pine nuts
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves peeled
- ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice optional
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Optional: Fresh basil leaf extra Parmesan
- Suggested Pairings: Sparkling water pasta
Toast pine nuts (optional) for 2–3 min; cool.
Blend basil, pine nuts, Parmesan, and garlic; drizzle in olive oil.
Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper; taste and adjust.
