Ingredients
  

  • Beef Stir Fry:
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil divided
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • Stir-Fry Sauce:
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
  • Optional: Sesame seeds green onions
  • Suggested Pairings: Green tea rice

Instructions
 

  • Marinate beef with soy sauce, cornstarch for 10–15 minutes.
  • Whisk sauce ingredients; taste and adjust.
  • Cook beef in 1 tbsp oil 1–2 min per side; remove.
  • Stir-fry garlic, ginger, and vegetables in 1 tbsp oil for 3–4 min.
  • Add beef, sauce; toss 1–2 min until thickened.
  • Serve in a white ceramic bowl with sesame seeds, onions, tea, and rice.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly for tenderness.
  • Store in fridge for 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
  • Try a gluten-free or spicy variation.
  • Pair with noodles.
