Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F; grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar; taste and adjust.
Stir in beer until just combined.
Pour half the butter into the pan; add batter; top with remaining butter.
Bake 40–45 min until golden.
Serve on a white ceramic platter with butter.
Notes
Use room-temperature beer.
Store at room temp for 2 days or freeze for 3 months.
Try a cheesy or gluten-free variation.
Pair with chili.
