Melt butter in a saucepan; add sugar, syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla, salt, and orange juice. Whisk until bubbly. Taste and adjust the sweetness or spice.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Place yams in a greased 9x13-inch dish; pour glaze over, toss.
Bake 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway, until caramelized.
Serve in a white ceramic dish with cinnamon, parsley, turkey, and iced tea.
Notes
Boil yams until just tender.
