Chicken Tacos Recipe: Zesty and Flavorful

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • Optional: Fresh cilantro lime wedges
  • Suggested Toppings: Diced tomatoes avocado, lettuce
  • Suggested Pairings: Salsa Mexican beer

Instructions
 

  • Toss chicken with salt, pepper, spices, 1 tbsp oil; let sit 10 min.
  • Taste and adjust spice mix.
  • Cook chicken in a skillet with 1 tbsp oil for 6–8 min; add lime juice.
  • Warm tortillas; assemble with chicken, tomatoes, avocado, and lettuce.
  • Serve on a white ceramic platter with cilantro, lime, salsa, and beer.

Notes

  • Slice chicken thinly for even cooking.
  • Store chicken in the fridge for 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
  • Try a vegetarian or spicy variation.
