Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped or chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • tsp kosher salt
  • 1 –2 tbsp granulated sugar optional
  • Optional: Cocoa powder chocolate shavings
  • Suggested Uses: Cake topping strawberries

Instructions
 

  • Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  • Heat cream until simmering; pour over chocolate.
  • Whisk until smooth; add butter, vanilla, and salt.
  • Taste and adjust with sugar; cool as needed.
  • Serve in a white ceramic bowl with cocoa, shavings; use on cakes, with strawberries.

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best results.
  • Store in the fridge for 1 week or freeze for 2 months.
  • Try a vegan or spiced variation.
