Instructions
Cook sausage (if using); reserve 1/4 cup drippings or melt butter.
Whisk in flour; cook 1-2 min until golden.
Gradually add warm milk, whisking to avoid lumps.
Simmer 3-5 min until thickened; add salt, pepper, seasonings, and sausage.
Serve over biscuits; garnish with parsley; pair with coffee.
Notes
Warm milk to prevent lumps.
Store in the fridge for up to 3 days, freeze for 1 month.
