Cranberry Sauce Recipe: Tangy and Festive

Tangy cranberry sauce with orange and cinnamon.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon optional
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: Orange zest mint
  • Suggested Pairings: Turkey cider

Instructions
 

  • Rinse cranberries and drain.
  • Combine cranberries, sugar, water, orange juice, zest, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • Simmer for 10-12 minutes until thickened.
  • Cool for 30 minutes; transfer to a bowl.
  • Garnish with zest and mint; serve with turkey and cider.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar for tartness.
  • Store in fridge for 10 days or freeze for 2 months.
  • Try a spiced variation.
