melted

large egg

kosher salt

Instructions
Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit 5–10 min until foamy.
Mix flour, salt, butter, egg, and yeast mixture; knead 5–10 min.
Taste and adjust dough seasoning.
Let dough rise 1–1.5 hours; shape into 12 balls, rise 30–45 min.
Bake at 375°F for 15–18 min; brush with butter.
Serve on a white ceramic platter with sea salt, parsley, butter, and tea.
Notes
Use warm milk for yeast activation.
Store at room temperature for 2 days or freeze for 2 months.
Try a vegan or herbed variation.
Pair with creamed corn.
