Fire Cider Recipe: Spicy and Immune-Boosting

Ingredients
  

  • 1 quart ACV
  • 1 cup horseradish
  • ½ cup ginger
  • ½ cup garlic
  • ½ cup onion
  • ¼ cup turmeric
  • 2 –3 hot peppers
  • ¼ cup rosemary
  • Zest of 2 oranges 1 lemon
  • Optional: Honey
  • Suggested Pairings: Tea water

Instructions
 

  • Chop and grate roots, veggies, and herbs.
  • Layer in a quart jar.
  • Pour ACV to cover.
  • Seal; shake daily; steep 4–6 weeks.
  • Strain; bottle.
  • Taste; adjust with honey.
  • Serve in a white ceramic jar.

Notes

  • Shake daily during steeping.
  • Store dark up to 1 year.
  • Try a mild or spicy variation.
  • Pair with warm tea.
