Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 8 oz mushrooms
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • Optional: Parsley
  • Suggested Pairings: Bread salad

Instructions
 

  • Cook noodles; toss with butter.
  • Brown beef; drain fat.
  • Add onion, mushrooms; cook 5 min.
  • Stir in garlic, flour.
  • Pour broth, Worcestershire, and mustard.
  • Simmer to thicken.
  • Off heat, stir in sour cream.
  • Fold in noodles.
  • Rest 2 min; serve in a white ceramic bowl.

Notes

  • Add sour cream off-heat.
  • Store in fridge 4 days or freeze sauce 2 months.
  • Try a light or one-pot variation.
  • Pair with red wine.
