Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter or pan drippings
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: Fresh thyme
  • Suggested Pairings: Red wine mashed potatoes

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter; whisk in flour for 2–3 min until golden.
  • Gradually add broths, Worcestershire, and seasonings; whisk.
  • Simmer for 5–7 min until thickened.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning.
  • Serve in a white ceramic gravy boat with thyme.

  • Use pan drippings for depth.
  • Store in the fridge for 4 days or freeze for 3 months.
