Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • tsp yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 –4½ cups flour
  • 2 tbsp soft butter
  • Optional: Rosemary
  • Suggested Pairings: Turkey gravy

Instructions
 

  • Activate yeast in warm milk for 5–10 min.
  • Mix in sugar, butter, eggs, and salt.
  • Add flour; knead 5–7 min.
  • Rise 60–90 min until doubled.
  • Divide, roll into 12-inch circles.
  • Butter, cut into 12 wedges, roll into crescents.
  • Rise 30–45 min.
  • Bake at 375°F 12–15 min.
  • Cool 5 min.
  • Serve in a white ceramic basket.

Notes

  • Warm milk to 110°F.
  • Store 3 days or freeze 2 months.
  • Try garlic or a sweet variation.
  • Pair with honey butter.
