warm milk

melted butter

–4½ cups flour

soft butter

Instructions
Activate yeast in warm milk for 5–10 min.
Mix in sugar, butter, eggs, and salt.
Add flour; knead 5–7 min.
Rise 60–90 min until doubled.
Divide, roll into 12-inch circles.
Butter, cut into 12 wedges, roll into crescents.
Rise 30–45 min.
Bake at 375°F 12–15 min.
Cool 5 min.
Serve in a white ceramic basket.
Notes
Warm milk to 110°F.
Store 3 days or freeze 2 months.
Try garlic or a sweet variation.
Pair with honey butter.
