Jalapeño Poppers Recipe: Spicy and Crispy

Classic Jalapeño Poppers with spicy, crispy flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 medium jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • Cooking spray or 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: Chopped cilantro ranch drizzle
  • Suggested Pairings: Celery sticks cold beer

Instructions
 

  • Slice jalapeños, remove seeds.
  • Mix cream cheese, cheddar, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust.
  • Stuff jalapeños with filling.
  • Dip in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs; place on a baking sheet.
  • Spray with oil; bake at 400°F for 20–25 min, flipping halfway.
  • Serve on a white ceramic platter with cilantro, ranch, celery, and beer.

Notes

  • Wear gloves for jalapeños.
  • Store in fridge for 3 days or freeze unbaked for 2 months.
  • Try a vegan or bacon-wrapped variation.
  • Pair with carrots.
