- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup light brown sugar packed
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp lemon zest from about 2 lemons
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blueberries or frozen, thawed, and patted dry
- Optional: 1/2 cup white chocolate chips for added sweetness
- Optional: 1 tbsp coarse sugar for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350°F; line baking sheets with parchment.
Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
Cream butter and sugars; add egg, lemon zest, juice, and vanilla.
Mix in dry ingredients; fold in blueberries and optional chips.
Scoop dough, sprinkle with sugar, and bake 10-12 minutes.
Cool on sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to rack.
