Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins
  • Optional: Powdered sugar extra raisins
  • Suggested Pairings: Milk tea

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F; line baking sheets with parchment.
  • Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  • Whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; add to wet mixture.
  • Stir in oats, and raisins; taste dough and adjust sweetness or spice.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls, flatten slightly, and bake for 10-12 min.
  • Cool for 5 min on sheets, then transfer to rack. Serve on a white ceramic plate with powdered sugar, milk, and tea.

Notes

  • Use softened butter for chewiness.
  • Store at room temp for 1 week or freeze for 3 months.
  • Try vegan or gluten-free variations.
