Preheat oven to 350°F; line baking sheets with parchment.
Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; add to wet mixture.
Stir in oats, and raisins; taste dough and adjust sweetness or spice.
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls, flatten slightly, and bake for 10-12 min.
Cool for 5 min on sheets, then transfer to rack. Serve on a white ceramic plate with powdered sugar, milk, and tea.
