Peanut Brittle Recipe: Crunchy and Buttery

Crunchy, buttery classic peanut brittle

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups peanuts
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • tsp baking soda

Instructions
 

  • Boil sugar, syrup, water, and salt to 280°F.
  • Add peanuts; cook to 300°F (deep golden).
  • Remove from heat; stir in butter, vanilla, and baking soda.
  • Pour onto parchment; spread thin.
  • Cool completely; break into pieces.

Notes

  • Work quickly after adding baking soda
  • Store airtight up to 1 month
