- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp chili garlic sauce optional
- Optional: Sesame seeds green onions

Whisk soy sauce, water, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger, garlic, and chili sauce until smooth.
Taste and adjust with sugar, soy sauce, or vinegar.
Use immediately or store in the fridge.
For stir-fry: Add 1/4–1/2 cup sauce to cooked protein and vegetables; stir 1–2 min until thickened.
Serve in a white ceramic bowl with sesame seeds.
