Tiramisu Recipe: Creamy and Indulgent

Creamy tiramisu with espresso-soaked ladyfingers.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups espresso cooled
  • ¼ cup coffee liqueur
  • 6 egg yolks
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cups mascarpone
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 40-50 ladyfingers
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • Optional: Chocolate shavings
  • Suggested Pairings: Berries coffee

Instructions
 

  • Mix espresso and liqueur.
  • Whisk yolks and sugar over a double boiler for 5-7 minutes; cool.
  • Whisk in mascarpone; fold in whipped cream.
  • Dip ladyfingers in the coffee mix and layer in a 9x9-inch dish with cream. Repeat.
  • Chill for 4 hours.
  • Dust with cocoa, garnish with shavings; serve with berries and coffee.

Notes

  • Don’t oversoak ladyfingers.
  • Store in fridge for 3 days, do not freeze.
  • Try a non-alcoholic variation.
  • Pair with wine.
