Tomato Pie Recipe: Southern Summer Perfection

Classic Southern tomato pie with cheese-mayonnaise filling

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust
  • 5 –6 large ripe tomatoes sliced
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Black pepper + optional cayenne

Instructions
 

  • Salt and drain tomato slices for 30–60 min.
  • Layer tomatoes and cheese-mayonnaise filling in the crust.
  • Bake at 350°F 35–45 min until golden and bubbly.
  • Cool 30 min before slicing.

• Drain tomatoes well—no soggy pie
