Whiskey Sour Recipe: Tangy and Refreshing
Classic Whiskey Sour with bourbon, lemon, and simple syrup.

- 2 oz bourbon
- ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup 1:1 sugar-to-water
- 1 egg white optional
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Orange slice maraschino cherry
- Suggested Pairings: Cheese sparkling water
If needed, make simple syrup: dissolve 1/4 cup sugar in 1/4 cup water; cool.
In a shaker, combine bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white. Dry shake (if using egg white) 15 seconds, add ice, shake 10–15 seconds.
Taste and adjust the sweetness or lemon juice.
Strain into a chilled rocks glass with ice.
Garnish with orange slice, cherry; serve with cheese, water.
